Preparing for your first visit

During your first visit, your provider will perform a complete and thorough physical examination. You will have ample time to discuss your initial diagnosis and all your questions will be answered in detail.  Additional testing may be required for further diagnosis. At Advanced Headache Center, we design individualized treatment plans that include prevention as as well abortive treatments to control your headaches. Please bring your insurance card and a form of photo identification to your first visit.  You will not be seen without a photo ID. Make sure to also bring with you any relevant medical records such MRIs, CT scans as well as laboratory results. If you prefer to complete our New Patient Packet before your visit, our receptionist will email or fax it to you. Migraines can have many triggers, so we ask all our patients not wear excessive cologne, perfume or scented lotions.  We also ask you not to speak on your cell phone in the waiting room, as it can be disruptive to patients as well as staff.

Anyone under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult for all visits.

Calling your provider

When calling to speak to your provider for non emergency issues, your call will be returned as soon as possible and in the order received. Your provider will make every effort to call you by the end of the day you called, but may call you the next morning.

Missed appointments

We ask you to confirm your appointment at least 24 hours in advance. If an appointment is missed or is not cancelled 24 hours in advance, you may be charged $50 for a follow-up visit and $100 for the initial evaluation.
